Pirkei Avot 

Pirkei Avot, also known as Ethics of Our Fathers, is a compilation of ethical teachings passed down to the Rabbis, beginning with Moses and onward. Here I write a poem inspired by each Mishnah.

I believe that Torah is best understood when we take the time to process what her words mean to us. This project is the beginning of a relationship between the text and me. It is also an attempt to illustrate how much of our tradition is still relevant to us in the 21st century. In moving forward, I believe we must honor our past. May these poems create connection and inspire creativity!

To best accommodate the concentration span of our time, I have chosen to write my poems in the space of a mere Instagram Square.
